Tour the Animal Rehabilitation Keep (ARK) at the University of Texas Marine Science Institute, a facility dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of injured and sick sea turtles and aquatic birds. You will see some of the rarest sea turtles including Kemp's Ridley, masked boobies and hawks, hawksbills, loggerheads, ornate box turtles, tortoises, and green turtles. Pelicans and gulls can also be seen. Tour proceeds provide funding for the program, which relies solely on donations for its operation. Guided tour. Meet at the front door of the UTMSI Visitors Center. Fee.
