Tour the Animal Rehabilitation Keep (ARK) at The University of Texas Marine Science Institute, a facility dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of injured and sick sea turtles and aquatic birds. You will see some of the rarest sea turtles including Kemp’s Ridley, hawksbills, loggerheads, and green turtles as well as masked boobies, hawks, pelicans and gulls. Tour proceeds provide funding for the program. LOCATION: Meet outside at the front door of the UTMSI Marine Science Education Center

Join a beach and jetty clean-up and help create a better world for Whooping Cranes with the AZA Whooping Crane SAFE program. Remove monofilament snares, plastic pollution, and other marine debris from the Port Aransas jetty and beaches to help restore critical habitat for birds. All clean-up supplies are provided including gloves, bags and litter grabbers (for loan). Check in near the jetty - we’ll keep an eye out for you.
